Random memes

Hello,
One blog… and now I’ve already turned into a rubbish blogger! I am trying to rectify that – but tbh, knitting got in the way. That’s all I’m doing. Knitting, sleeping and working. No, no housework… no meeting up with people… no nothing… BUT I can now officially do fair isle knitting, and knitting on the round. So I’m proud of myself, even if everyone else thinks I’ve wasted all this time Mick has been away! So today… I have decided to do a few of Lisa’s memes. Good way to start blogging again… Fingers crossed when mick gets home I can FINALLY get my camera back, and get some photos sorted on this thing to make it look a little less boring.
ANYHOOOO off to do the memes :)

1. What do you think is your greatest achievement? (and not getting out of bed please!)
My greatest achievement… has been to not give up in general. Uni has been a big problem for me, as I suffer from panic attacks, and keep soldiering on… 7yrs in and I still don’t have a degree, but I’m still going. Also, I feel being with Mick now for almost 3 yrs, is a major achievement, but also a pleasure. Before all my relationships were about 1yr long, and to find someone who I can, hand on heart, say that he is the one, and that everyday I am grateful for this.

2. What song has the best memories for you?
Ooh tricky question. All songs have amazing memories, and some have horrendous memories. I love listening to Michael Buble ‘hold on’, as I danced at my cousins wedding with Mick to that (that is something in itself – Mick is MANLY MAN). For my parents, Elvis songs in general, Country and western also in general, and Delilah by Tom Jones (me and dad singing in the car!) have such good memories. Ooh also ‘monster’ song… cant remember who sang it but the ‘whats that coming over the hill is it a monster… is it a monster’ makes me laugh thinking of my mum dancing to it.

3. If you could be anywhere else right now where would you be?
I’m going to be really sad, and say cuddled up in my man’s arms, wherever. That would be amazing right now. Sometimes you just need a bosie J

4. What is your favourite book and why?
My favourite book has to be the whole series of ‘clan of the cave bear’ by Jean M. Auel. Amazing book, but also amazing family history behind it, and I did it for my English book review for higher, and got a good grade :)

5. What is one thing that makes you really, really happy? (shamelessly stolen from Annelise)
KNITTING! Ive never had a major hobby/craft in recent years, but I have the knitting bug big style. It is such a feeling when something is finished, and you can have that sense of achievement, that you have made something out of nothing.

6. What is your favourite item of clothing and why?
For anyone that knows me, when I am not at work, or when I am in my flat chilling – am in my pjs. They are the ultimate guilty pleasure of mine, and that snug/secure feeling after a crappy day makes me calm right down.

7. What is your favourite past time? (mine is sleep)
Haha, god I really am an old lady. Watching box sets, knitting, and a cup of tea in hand. THAT is my idea of heaven.

NOW TO ANSWER LISAS QUS! Blatantly stolen ;)

1. What really cheesy/bad TV programme can you not help but watch (inspired by Hannah and Serena!)
Gossip Girl… (Jon and) Kate Plus 8… 18 kids and counting… so many, most of the programmes I watch are classified by most as cheesy and bad… but bugger it, I likes em J

2. Siobhan asked me about my favourite book, I'd like to know what book you think is terrible, and why!
Ummm I have never really thought ‘god that book is terrible’, I feel they all have their place, and stage in each persons life. Even if it is a chore to turn each page, there will always be lines or imagery in them that make me smile or make me remember something from my own life.

3. What does you bed linen look like?please feel free to include a photo! This is inspired by my sitting on my cosy bed!
My bedlinen at the moment is a stripey white and different shades of blue… not exciting, but was a hand-me-down from my auntie, and they are quite snuggley.

4. What is your favourite quality in yourself (you all have them, so suck it up and pick one!)
I like how open I am now about my feelings – it took a long while to get here, so want to blow my own trumpet about this!

5. This one is from Dave - What is the worst injury you have had?
Haha if you know me, you’ll know how hard it is to just pick one! Ummm damaging my knee at the Foo fighters Wembley concert?? That was a good’un. Being chauffeur driven round Wembley stadium in a wheelchair by a guy who couldn’t speak English – having 2 security guards in charge of minding my leg, being high on morphine so I could actually stomach watching the gig (but so much so, I cant actually remember most of it), and then being in an ambulance round the centre of London, with a full exciting night in A&E :D I do it with style…

6. Do you listen to the radio/podcasts often, and if yes what do you listen to?
Not often, but download a podcast all about barbershop music, that I listen to whenever I can. (Yes. I am sad)

7. If you stay in a hotel, do you take the mini bathroom toiletries home with you?(I do, the ones from our London hotel are Penhaligon's!!!!)
I actually have a big bag full of pocketsized toiletries in my bathroom… don’t know if I’ll actually use them, but they are sooo cute!!.

Hopefully that has started me writing on my blog again, if I don’t, feel free to shout at me :P
Ta-ta for now!!

Lets get the introductions out of the way first!

I always thought about doing a blog of some variety; almost as a way to understand my own life, and my own thoughts and feelings (which is by no means, an easy feat!)
...
Well, time for the introductions, I am KC. Born and raised in the North of Scotland, now 24 yrs old, and am unsure what to make of my life. I live with my long suffering partner, Mick, who I absolutely adore, and means the world to me. He is one of the few things in my world that gives me warm fuzzy feelings. The other thing that gives me warm fuzzys at the moment is knitting.... but more on that in a minute!

I currently work for an airline company, as an accounts assistant. Its a good job, but only maternity cover, and is not what i am looking for in my career. I also do a lot of babysitting around where I live, which keeps things ticking over. I have had sooo many random jobs, that I now need to just man up and get over myself and just stick to a job.

Before this job, I was in hospital. Which was horrible. 21 days in one stint, and 8 in the other. 6 wards. moved around left right and centre. sooo went a little stir crazy, and my tummy still isnt right, but I think thats going to be an ongoing battle between me and my IBS.

I think i decided to write a blog, because i spend so much of my time reading other peoples, whether my friends or being nosy in their friends, or just to be looking at some new interesting ideas for knitting. I am rubbish at knitting to be honest, but it gives me something to do, which I enjoy, and I can see myself getting better and better at it. One dishcloth at a time ;) Soon I will be trying more stitches, working on Xmas pressies, and just trying my best to stay sane, healthy and happy :)

I will try and write more and more, but this is my blogging virginity out the window!
